Welcome to the Security Studies Program (SSP) admissions pages for prospective students. These pages will help you learn more about our admissions process, financial aid and scholarships, as well as provide answers to some frequently asked questions.
The mission of SSP is to equip students with the substantive knowledge and analytical skills necessary to confront the complex challenges facing the security community today. We have many partners here at Georgetown assisting us in this process. As part of the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS), SSP students benefit from exceptional opportunities for intellectual and professional growth offered on campus.
The Center for Security Studies (CSS), the administrative home of SSP, supplements student learning through forward thinking scholarship, provocative speakers, and compelling events covering security challenges and policy prescriptions. Additionally, our location in Washington, D.C. provides SSP students with direct exposure to leading government agencies, private sector firms, and non-profit and research institutions involved in U.S. national and international security.
We encourage you to explore our site and thank you for your interest in SSP and Georgetown University.
