The Security Studies Program at Georgetown University offers a wide variety of events for its students, as well as other members of the Washington, DC community. These include talks on topics relating to international security, networking opportunities, and social events.
The regular Thursday lunch talks provide students with opportunities to hear distinguished guests discuss historical and contemporary issues. In collaboration with the Georgetown School of Foreign Service Career Center, there are frequent occasions for students to engage with potential employers, both in the public and private sectors.
The Program also hosts annual social events, such as a Christmas party, a James Bond-themed gala, and a summer boat cruise. The diverse array of events provides opportunities for SSP students of all backgrounds and interests to engage with other students, develop their networks, and learn from leading experts.
