Col. David E. Johnson (Ret.) is an SSP Adjunct Professor and an Adjunct Scholar at the Modern War Institute at West Point. Between 1998 and 2016, he worked as a Principal Researcher at RAND.

Take courses outside my comfort zone.

Strategy and Military Operations.
What is your favorite thing to do in DC?
Going to museums, the ballet, the theater, the opera–so much to do here!
What would your advice be to SSP students hoping to start a career in your field?
Establish a network and leverage it and your professors for help.
