Kelly is originally from Burlington, Vermont but has spent the last eleven years in Washington. She graduated from American University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s in Political Science. She then spent nearly five years working on Capitol Hill for her Congressman from Vermont, Peter Welch, ending her time as a legislative assistant covering defense, national security, veterans, and education issues. She has worked for Booz Allen Hamilton as a defense intelligence analyst since 2015.
Kelly began her Master’s degree at Georgetown in the Fall of 2017 and will graduate in the Spring of 2019 with a concentration in U.S. National Security Policy. When she’s not at work or on campus, Kelly can be found down on the Potomac River rowing with the Potomac Boat Club’s competitive women’s sweep team along with several other alum from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service.
