Simone Bak graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2011 with a degree in Global Studies. With a background in security cooperation as a civilian employee of the Department of Defense, Bak began to search for an MA program and chose SSP “because it is the #1 program with great course offerings and renowned faculty. And because of its Jesuit values.”
Currently, Bak serves as the Associate Editor for the Middle East with the Georgetown Security Studies Review. She also works as a Teacher Assistant for Professors William Buckley and Paul Lewis in their Politics of Terrorism Course at the Georgetown School of Continuing Studies.
