Partnerships

The Center for Security Studies is able to host numerous events each year in part thanks to the generosity of several specific partnerships.

Kalaris Intelligence Studies Fund

Intelligence Studies at the Center for Security Studies are made possible through the generosity of a fund dedicated in honor of George T. Kalaris. The primary output of the fund is the Kalaris Intelligence Conference, an annual event that aims to connect government, academia, media, and the private sector through an intellectually rich and stimulating lineup of events and discussion about the tension between potential challenges and progress. Learn more about the Kalaris Conference and George T. Kalaris at kalaris.org.

Bilden Asian Studies Fund

Thanks to the generosity of Georgetown University graduates Philip (F’86) and Patricia (C’85) Bilden, the Security Studies Program is a hub for the graduate study of security in Asia at Georgetown. The Center for Security Studies is committed to understanding the role of the Asian subcontinent, and of China in particular, in the world’s security environment. The Bilden fund allows CSS to support faculty research and teaching, host policy discussions, and educate students on the numerous complex security challenges in this vital region.

The Bilden Asian Studies Fund supports a range of events, such as guest lectures and panels, as well as a special summer grant for students studying Asian security issues.

You can view recordings of many of our events, including those sponsored by the Kalaris and Bilden Funds, on the Center for Security Studies YouTube page.
