Kadijha Kuanda
Assistant Director of Admissions and Alumni Engagement
With over three years of professional admissions experience, Kadijha Kuanda serves as the Assistant Director of Admissions and Alumni Engagement for the Center for Security Studies. Kadijha recently graduated from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver with a Master’s in International Human Rights, and holds a BA in Political Science from Clark University, where she graduated summa cum laude and with high honors.
In her role, Kadijha supports all aspects of admissions, from recruitment to application review; plays a role in making final admission decisions and awarding merit-based academic scholarships; holds virtual and in-person informational sessions, and represents graduate programs at key Graduate School and Career Fairs.
Beyond admissions, Kadijha coordinates student-alumni engagement initiatives such as the SSP Mentoring Program and organizes career and networking events. She also works closely with alumni to develop profiles, manage data, and maintain strong alumni connections through career resources.
Originally from Germany, Kadijha moved to the U.S. for her studies in 2018 and recently relocated to Washington, D.C., with her fiancé. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, connecting with new people, and spending time with her cat, Marley, as she explores her new home in the nation’s capital.
