Michael Brown is the Director of Academic Affairs in the Security Studies Program. Hhe is responsible for student advising and registration and provides guidance about comprehensive exams, leaves of absence, and other programmatic issues.

Michael began his Higher Ed journey as an Academic Advisor for military students. Throughout his career, he has worn many hats as Director of Financial Aid, Associate Dean of Students, Director of Admissions/Records, and even as a Registrar! Coming from Chicago, he hopes to bring not only his experience to Georgetown, but also the light he likes to believe Chicagoans provide.
