Doug Umberger
Director of Admissions
With over ten years of professional admissions experience, Doug Umberger proudly joins the Center for Security Studies as the Director of Admissions, after recently serving as the Associate Director of Admissions for the Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) Program. He also teaches MSFS 5705, Diplomatic Communications, as an Adjunct Professor. Prior to joining Georgetown University, Doug worked in various admissions, marketing, and teaching positions at Loyola University New Orleans, Loyola University Maryland, Anne Arundel Community College, and York College of Pennsylvania.
Doug graduated from York College of Pennsylvania (BA, Speech Communication; Class President and Cum Laude), Loyola University Maryland (MA, Communications/Emerging Media), and Cornell University (Diversity and Inclusion Certification). Away from the Hilltop, Doug enjoys trivia, traveling, and exploring the District with his wonderful French Bulldog.
